Mayor Mike Bloomberg wants to make massive cuts in public safety. Governor Paterson is making threatened cuts in State aid to New York City. The State wants to cut the whole total aid to the City of New York. Mike Bloomberg is doing nothing to stop it. This is a Mayor who said right before election day he would not close firehouses, now he wants to close 63 FDNY engine, ladder companies. Lay off 1,000 fire fighters. Part of the money to avoid FDNY layoffs, closings can come from the City Council slush fund.

Mike does not fight to bring more aid to the City of New York. 3 fare increases happened under Mike tenure. Mike is doing nothing to stop draconian service cuts. Mike Bloomberg has not kept many promises at all. Another promise he did not keep was saying he would create, and support affordable housing. What has been built is anything but that.
